We cannot possibly be at the Rev 18:1-4 point because Babylon has not fallen, nor has the first 3 1/2 years started, see Daniel 8:9 and 9:25-27, the sacrifice that begins in the new Temple will inmitiate the beginning of the first 3 1/2 time period. The man of lawlessness has not been revealed yet, so EW may be right but you are interpreting her incorrectly.
