Sabbay,

I fully agree that the AntiChrist is anyone who denies that Christ came in the flesh just as the Scriptures indicate (2John 1:7).

Sabbay,

This was such an AWESOME study, I now understand that during His life on earth, Yeshua (Christ) was a Prophet and Messiah, however, when he ascended to Heaven since October 22nd of 1844, He is now serving as our Great High Priest in the Heaven Sanctuary's 2nd Apartment. Thanks so much for the information on the 2300 day Prophecy it is a PHENOMENAL REVELATION and it testifies to the TRUE WITNESS, CHRIST JESUS (Hebrews 8:1-5, Revelation 19:10).

Sabbay and Timothy,

I agree with you both, as Christ's Ministry on this earth was powerful and our Messiah was the greatest Servant in History. Timothy , I completely agree with you that Christ's work on this earth embodied a Ministry, later becoming a Priesthood in AD 31 at Christ's coronation in Heaven, symbolized by the Day of Pentecost (Psalms 110:4, 133:2; Acts 2:1-5).

Hi Dean Metcalfe,

Thanks for your time and comment. Biblical proof edifies all that Christ did not begin His Priesthood until after He was coronated and inaugurated into the Heavenly Priesthood. Timothy (Brother Blue) is correct in stating that Christ's Work on earth was a Ministry not to be considered a Priesthood. His Priesthood Work began in 31 AD symbolized as the Day of Pentecost, please refer to my response to Timothy (Brother Blue) for scriptural references. This is an excellent question, thanks for asking.

The second part of your question regarding the Last Supper functioned as a desire that Christ had to share the last meal with His Disciples reassuring each of His presence in the form of the Holy Spirit, edifying them of the value of having Communion.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Priest
From the link: "A priest or priestess is a person having the authority or power to administer religious rites; in particular, rites of sacrifice to, and propitiation of, a deity or deities. Their office or position is the priesthood, a term which may also apply to such persons collectively."

The context of early historical writings, when they were written, are different than the current context in which we view them. More, those writings are but a snapshot of the past, not the past itself which consisted of a lot of other snapshots that didn't make it into the historical documents.

What was the official church of God at the time of Jesus on earth? Wasn't His church anywhere a congregation would gather and hear His divine word and see His divine actions? What was Jesus role at The Last Supper. Was he not serving as an officer of the faith? Isn't that what a priest essentially is...an officer of the faith?

You are quite welcome Sister Sabbay. Just want to make sure that folks get the right understanding as is common in the rest of your website. Thank you for your labours in the vineyard and God bless your human efforts with His divine power. Brother Blue

Timothy,

Thank-you for your insight into scripture and time. You are absolutely correct Christ's time on earth was directed towards His Ministry as a Prophet (Deutoronomy 18:15,18). At your suggestion, I changed the caption to reflect this notion and concept: His inauguration into the Heavenly Priesthood occurred following His coronotion in Heaven (50 days after His resurrection).

The Holy Spirit's Outpouring, began in 31AD following the resurrection of Christ. Additionally we understand that the Day of Pentecost, the Former Rain, occurred fifty days following the Messiah's resurrection (precisely seven Sabbaths after His resurrection). The Day of Pentecost thus was an earthly symbol of Christ's coronation in Heaven; His inauguration into the Heavenly Priesthood (Psalms 110:4; Daniel 8:14, Acts 2:1-5; Hebrews 6:20, 8:3-4, Revelations 1:11-13,20;14:7, Great Controversy pg 352-353). Christ's coronation in Heaven, manifested as the Outpouring of the Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost, was an anti-type of Aaron's typical earthly coronation into the Priesthood (Psalms 133:2).

Needless to say, the Roman Catholic Church's Papacy appears to have met the criteria for the anti-christ, as they have endorsed Judaism's denial of Christ's timely prophesied existence, earthly Ministry and Heavenly Priesthood.

Concerning this sub-heading near the top of this particular blog, it reads thus, "POPE RELEASES A BOOK DENYING CHRIST’S EARTHLY PRIESTHOOD"

Is this statement supposed to be refuted with Scripture? It is in harmony with Scripture.

Hebrews 8: 4. For if He (the Lord Jesus Christ) were on earth, he should not be a priest, seeing that there are priests that offer gifts according to the law:

Prophet, Priest, and King. That is the order that the Lord in His humanity has followed.

In the earth He was the Prophet that Moses said would come after him. Deuteronomy 18:15. The Lord thy God will raise up unto thee a PROPHET from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken;

In heaven He is now our High Priest. Hebrews 8:1-2 Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum: We have such an HIGH PRIEST, Who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens; A minister of the sanctuary, and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, and not man.

And He will come again as our King from heaven. Revelation 19:16. And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.

I read the article and it seemed to be more about the humanity of Jesus our Lord, not about HIm being any type of priest.
